Battery Draining In Alcatel Idol 4S

I have an Alcatel Idol 4S with windows 10 and when it is not being used the battery drains completely in one day. What is causing this?

    Hi Vern,

    For us to resolve the issue with your battery that drains out fast, we suggest that you follow the troubleshooting steps given on Lumia troubleshooting and repair. Select Battery and charging category, then followed by My battery drains out fast. Make sure to select the next options given if problem persists.

    Same question.   And to add, sometimes when at about 25% in the indicator, I get the battery life warning.

    I have a similar problem but my battery level will go from 100% to low battery warning in about 15 minutes. Strangely, when I plug in the charger, within just a few minutes, it shows 100% charged again. It just started doing this right after the last OS update (version 1709. Build 10.0.15254.544).  I believe that my issue may be related to the OS update.  I have followed the suggested tips and shut down apps running in background, even tried running in battery saver mode but none of that seems to have an impact.  ‎

    Or, could it be that the battery is near end of life and needs to be replaced? ‎

    I have similar battery problems

    with the idol4s with windows 10 I can't seem to find out what the lifespan is on the battery.

    My phone has about one and a half years use. I have to plug it in every 2 to 3 hours. If someone knows how long the lifespan on these batteries is could you let me know? I called Alcatel tech support and they don't seem to know. I am not a game  player or heavy social user. But I keep the phone plugged in most of the time and have the Microsoft Docking station which I use occasionally and it gets hot but not that hot.

    So if someone has an approximate time frame for the battery 🔋 please let me know.
