Battery Draining In Alcatel Idol 4S

I have an Alcatel Idol 4S with windows 10 and when it is not being used the battery drains completely in one day. What is causing this?

    Yeah we've got two IDOL4S phones purchased around the same time about a year ago and now having the same issue on both phones with a battery at~40% dropping to critical level alert within minutes though not doing any major on the phones.  I also think it has something to do with the last update. They were fine before.  Really don't want to give up yet another windows phone.

    My Alcatel idol 4s, 

    Just drained the battery on it's own , got very hot, exactly. One year after first use.bought 2, both can not be used as phones, no help from Microsoft or Alcatel. I threw away Windows pc, cellphone, and now using any program, but not Windows or Microsoft. .Bye Microsoft for every. We had enough of your jokes.

    I don't know. I plan to use mine until it quits but if you're thinking about selling it, it probably won't be worth much after December. I'm hoping we'll be getting a nice surprise by then...  How about a new version of Microsoft Launcher that loads full OS on some of those powerful upcoming 5G phones and completely replaces Android?  That would be sweet but I'm not getting my hopes up.
