Battery Draining In Alcatel Idol 4S

I have read that the discussions are not monitored for content but that any topic that generates a lot of discussion does influence info that ‎gets fed back to engineering. I honestly don't know much about how all that works but that that makes sense to me. I've posted comments in discussions and have also provided info through the feedback feature. So far, the only info I have seen as a result is further comments from people like yourself posting more comments. My guess is that feedback to engineering is generated by some #AI driven system that determines which issues deserve the most attention. In other words, from where I come from...  "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" :)

Sorry for the long-winded reply but this issue hits a nerve with me. But to answer your question about getting an answer to the question that is specific to the Alcatel Idol 4s, I would say, I doubt it because I don't think there are many of us asking.

I will add this though: I am convinced that the issue is software-related and not a problem with the actual batteries. The problem appears to have happened on a variety of different types of devices. My guess is that the problem gets addressed for popular devices while we the few that still use Win10 Mobile just get ignored. Sad but probably true :(  ‎

I noticed the exact same condition - about the same time as you. Wonder if the original  answer could supply an answer in relation to the Alcatel Idol 4s Win10 instead of the Nokia Lumia.

I have an Alcatel Fierce with windows 10 but because i bought the Idol 4s  I stopped using it. Now with the battery problem with Idol 4s I use the Fierce with win 10. I never updated win 10. The lower end Fierce battery lasts 10x longer than Idol 4s.I am sure Microsoft knows how to fix the Idol 4s if they wanted to. I would like to go to the win 10 mobile version on Alcatel Fierce XL. Any ideas let me know I still like the Idol 4s.

I may put my sim card in the Fierce.

Hopefully, someone at Microsoft is checking these threads and does something about it.

Nobody from Microsoft engineering is checking these threads and they never have. You should submit this through the Feedback Hub on your phone if you want it to be noticed by someone.

Good to know if true. I was directed here from a support site and when I saw a reply in the discussion from Nath Bea, Microsoft Agent, I assumed that the discussion was being monitored. That reply was about a year ago though so I suppose it could be that they monitored it back then but no longer do.

I may go back and reply directly to Nath and see if that gets a reply.

Nath Bea is an employee of the company to which MS have outsourced the moderation of this community. He has nothing to do with Microsoft, let alone any of their engineering teams. Furthermore he is no longer part of the team involved with these forums, so you will not get any response whatsoever from him.

I have been involved with this support forum from the very beginning since the former Nokia Support Discussions were transferred across into Microsoft and we are now on the third team of such third-party agents, they seem to be rotated every 18-24 months or so.
