Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4041994) — error 0x80070643

After fall creators update I have this update KB4041994 which I cannot install. I always got the same error. I was trying to delete it but it is downloaded again.

My laptop is Lenovo G510.

Any solutions?

As expected. There are no current updates available for your system because 16299.19 is the latest build. I think this is showing due to some glitch in windows update. The best option I would suggest is to hide the update:

Download the troubleshooter package and hide the update.

    On every new win10 build we have to dissect all of the settings and options.

    As MS changes things, moves stuff around worse than a wallmart store.

    Some nov.2017 updates are targeted for amd systems, if you are on an intel based 

    devices may spit out the error. 

    16299.98 is the latest "stable public build", it is not without issues.

    Hello,

    Open administrative Command Prompt and type following commands one-by-one followed by Enter key.

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop cryptSvc

    net stop bits

    net stop msiserver

    Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

    Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

    net start wuauserv

    net start cryptSvc

    net start bits

    net start msiserver

    Close Command Prompt and see if you can download the update then.

    ok so question, i did not have an error downloading the cumulative update for kb4041994 which was successfully installed on 12/2/2017 BUT my error is this:

    • Definition Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Definition 1.259.206.0) - Error 0x80070643

    while in windows defender settings, i ran the updates there and i got this:

    {big red circle with a black x}Protection Definition Update failed

    Error code: -2147023293

    Error description: Fatal Error During Installation

    I have followed Microsoft online solutions through a total of 7 differnet options to get this update to work and the most recent was to do a clean install of windows 10, i am not aware of being any part of any insider program, i am running 64bit on windows version 1709. all seems fine and dandy. the original accumlative update failed but then was successful. no amount of backing up my files makes me want to do a clean install when i have school and i work at home and i am just curious why this particular update wont work. will your solution help me? hoping it will and thank you in advance

    my 1709 cumulative update was fine, which is the update to your solution above. will your solution fix my error?
