Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4041994) — error 0x80070643

After fall creators update I have this update KB4041994 which I cannot install. I always got the same error. I was trying to delete it but it is downloaded again.

My laptop is Lenovo G510.

Any solutions?

As expected. There are no current updates available for your system because 16299.19 is the latest build. I think this is showing due to some glitch in windows update. The best option I would suggest is to hide the update:

Download the troubleshooter package and hide the update.

    Hey there - that did it. Wow, thanks!

    I switched user - and my wife's account opened up right away. Thank you for that. No more lagging black screen. However -  I still have the issue (in the wife's account, which is also set to ADMIN as well as my primary account) with the Windows icon button, bottom left side of monitor (START).

    In her account, when I click on it - nothing happens, i.e. none of the apps, etc. appear - nothing happens. When I right click - I get a list of options to choose from (i.e. settings, etc. - same list of options I get in my main account). Also - I cannot place the cursor into the search box, to the right of the Windows button (bottom left) in the other users' account.

    I have also discovered - Cortana is missing. Works GREAT on my account - and is present. Switch to wife's admin account - not there at all.

    So I wouldn't think I have to reinstall in her account - it's already on the computer. I can't access WORD, EXCEL, any of the office stuff I paid for either on this account.

    Thoughts on these issues?

    Your post absolutely nailed it. In my case, I would add that I get five minutes of black screen when I change users. I too have had my Windows reinstalled remotely by MS - my next try is a visit to a Microsoft store in Washington, D.C. area for a "check up." Have you had an opportunity to experience a visit at one of those places yet? What's that like. Anyhow - I agree - why isn't this being addressed and I also agree - why am I so obsessed that one update (probably meaningless anyhow) isn't loading?

    I have found that disabling the  "app readiness" service has fixed my black screen issue.
