Windows 10 100 Percent Disk Usage Problem

I also have this problem, 100% disk usage constantly.

Was working fine for 1 - 2 days then suddenly after my PC had been on for about 3 hours it just spikes back to 100% and i need to then go into MSC and start the above services and then disable them again to fix the problem.

Please note i have had this PC for 1 year.  Only in august did this start becoming a problem. Windows 10 is utter garbage and i wish they didn't force people to pay £150 to get Windows 7 installed when you buy a new PC. This is as bad as apple forcing their crappy software/hardware on ALL users and making things incompatable with 3rd party items is the stupidest thing that any company could ever do.

I too have this issue. It started when I had an issue with Outlook from Office 365. I eventually contacted a service rep who uninstalled Office 365 then re-installed it. This fixed the issue I had with Outlook but then I started getting the 100% disk problem. I had never seen it before so I have to presume it came from the Office 365. I am considering un-installing Office 365 and getting a different program - or upgrading to an Apple product. Really tired of Microsoft. Any body else had a similar experience?

I have the same/similar issue. Noticed it in the last couple of months. I believe this is after a couple Windows 10 updates. Things get slow. I look and see Disk at 100%. I have stopped Norton Antivirus with no change. I have rebooted with no change. It seems to need to run its course for a period of time then recovers after 10 or 15 minutes. Are the problems recorded here constant 100% or does it recover periodically? Have had WIndows 10 and this Latitude E6530 for years now with no problem until recently. So far, it always recovers after a time.

This may come as small consolation to anyone having this issue, but I also had the problem, for several days- just before the drive failed.  SOLUTION-  SSD, which has finally become reasonably priced, I swapped out my Dell's sad, old school mechanical disk for a similarly-sized SSD, and my drive usage went down to almost nothing.  Now, the bulk of the usage is on the memory and CPU, and not on the hard drive.  Hallelujah!  I can't say for sure that the swap was the solution, or that my 100% usage wasn't related to the state of the failing drive.  All I can say is, well.  Problem solved.

Incidentally, I went through EVERY recommended fix, turning things off, standing on one leg, saying a prayer, but finally got resolution with the drive swap.  So, I got that goin for me.

My laptop also boots very slow like 10 minutes, i started a startup repair and i discovered my bootres.dll file is missing or corrupted, please everyone here try the same and tell me if you got the same error, the log file generated with auto repair is there: C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt
