Is it possible to uninstall the Windows 10 update assistant? When i delete it it just automaticly reinstalls itself when i start the pc again

Its soo **** annoying and i just want the <removed> poppup  to disapear. when i try update it just get the wrong code but i cant fix it so i just want to delete the **** assistant permanently.

The Update Assistant in Windows 10 cannot be uninstalled, but you can get rid of it

Click your Start Button, type Task Scheduler and hit enter

In the left Pane, navigate to: Windows - Update Orchestrater

Right Pane double click 'Update Assistant'

Click on Triggers Tab

On each of the triggers ( At login . . . etc.) double click and uncheck 'Enabled'

Under 'Update Assistant, there is another event 'Update Assistant CalendarRun'

Do the same for all triggers on that event

Restart your system, that's It!

    men I'm with you. Please make the whole thing go away or fix it. I loved what you said about we are the customers in this mess and don't they say the customer is ALWAYS right? Part of me wants to blame HP because they made the computer and sold it with the dumb update 1709, I suppose how were they to know that Microsoft would just let us hang there hopelessly until we had very little brain left. I have thought about just giving this laptop away to some poor soul and buying another one that is already running the mysterious 1709. I'm just afraid my Husband would find out I wasted all that money and then I would be in a living hell. I just hope that someone at MS will take the responsibility and fix this thing. I am just going to try to let it go for awhile (I've already tried that I don't know how many times and then I'm right back at it again). Good Luck everyone and I hope we all will see blue sky's again soon.

    As so many users have said:

    "Why can't the program be written to terminate all future attempts once it learns that a computer is not compatible? "

    More important, why can't Microsoft give us an answser to the persistent question oh how to delete the so-called 'assistant'?
