Is it possible to uninstall the Windows 10 update assistant? When i delete it it just automaticly reinstalls itself when i start the pc again

Yes, this uninstalls the annoying updating program, but as you well know it simply reinstalls itself. And please tell me why every time you or anyone else at Microsoft provides a link, the link simply brings us to your support page. Obviously the Windows 10 continuous reboot loop problem is affecting a lot of people, so let's hope Microsoft will at some point help us out!!!!!!

The Update Assistant in Windows 10 cannot be uninstalled, but you can get rid of it

Click your Start Button, type Task Scheduler and hit enter

In the left Pane, navigate to: Windows - Update Orchestrater

Right Pane double click 'Update Assistant'

Click on Triggers Tab

On each of the triggers ( At login . . . etc.) double click and uncheck 'Enabled'

Under 'Update Assistant, there is another event 'Update Assistant CalendarRun'

Do the same for all triggers on that event

Restart your system, that's It!

I followed all of that and the Screwup Assistant still reloads itself.

Microsoft probably read your post and changed Screwup Assistant to circumvent your user-friendly solution to this piece of malware from Redmond.

It came back because a Cumulative Update was issued 3/22 that probably installed and replaced the missing or disabled files.
