USB Dongle is broken - need replacement for Microsoft Sculpt Wireless Ergonomic Mouse and Keyboard

We have come across the same problem at our place of work with this keyboard/mouse combo. I think it's completely unacceptable that you can not get a replacement dongle for this item and 130$ of keyboard/mouse product is to end up in the landfill? I work at Environment Canada and this is enraging. This product is highly rated as being a great Ergonomic choice compared to other brands as well. We are in a situation because I cannot find something as comparable in quality that is both Ergonomic and wireless. I didn't want to have to buy this product all over again just because a tiny, removable part has broken on it. I don't want to support Microsoft by purchase another when I have a perfectly good keyboard and mouse sitting right here. It's almost like Microsoft has done this on purpose for more financial gain without the thought of how it can impact the environment in the long run. Big Shame on you Microsoft! Not sure how you release products like this and that conversation didn't happen around a few meeting room tables.

Call the service center which appears to be outsourced by Microsoft in Hong Kong.  The dongle cannot be purchased separately which means my combo will end up in landfill.  Can't you just develop something like logitech USB dongle? So short sighted!!!!

p.s. I purchased logitech craft and mx master 2 because I completely lose confidence in Microsoft.

I have same issue with this case. My Microsoft Sculpt Wireless Ergonomic Mouse and Keyboard can't be used anymore because the tiny USB gongle was broken. I puchased the set kit with appx US$100 in South Korea.

Here South Korean Service team also said it's impossible to get the new USB dongle. It's totally shocking feedback for me.

Microsoft customer service team manager, please solve this issue ASAP.

I'm looking forward to get the solution how I can get the new USB dongle for use them again.

As an owner of two Microsoft Sculpt keyboards, I am just piling up on this topic;

If you ever lose or impair your Microsoft Sculpt wireless keyboard dongle, you can throw your $100 Microsoft Sculpt keyboard out a window.

The fairytale on pairing the keyboard with the dongle in the factory due to security reasons is no more than an intellectual derogation of the customers. Therefore, this is the last Microsoft product I purchased until someone from Microsoft pays attention to this thread and respectfully explains to the customers why they cannot purchase a replacement dongle.
