Hi,

My USB Dongle is broken. Where can I get new USB Dongle for Microsoft Sculpt Wireless Ergonomic Mouse and Keyboard?

Hi Vetrig,

The receiver only works specifically on that keyboard and mouse combo. Getting the receiver replaced might not be possible. Check with our Microsoft Store support team regarding your concern. Use this article.

    Microsoft pairs the USB dongle to the keyboard / mouse / numpad at the factory.  It is done as a way to AES256 encrypt the key's being sent to the machine in an way to make them secure.  If a Spy for example were able to simply listen to your keystrokes over the air being transmitted or pair your keyboard to their workstation and then somehow listen to you type your password in, they could hack into your network using this method.

    Apparently someone has been able to successfully penetrate a network using this method in the past so they do not support the unified wireless solution like Logitech does.

    Thus if you care about security be prepared to throw your Keyboard away, and buy Microsoft Keyboards.  If you don't care about security, or maybe you have no need for it at your home / whatever buy Logitech.

    Hi. This page support internacional customers? I am from Brazil and my keyboard is out off guarantee. But it's work fine except of dongle. Its not fair to replace entirely working pack , one because a dongle.

    I have same problem, but the dongle stop work. I use the keyboard with very carefully and I want from Microsoft more quality. This keyboard is very expecive in my country. How can I get a replacement dongle?

    Nope..microsoft is not able to solve this by just selling a compatible dongle. 

    Oh my WTAF, I had the keyboard for only a week and I lost the dongle in transit ... So now I have a worthless keyboard and mouse!  

    I hadn't bought a Micro$oft product for 5+ years, and I guess it will be a long time before I buy another one :-(

    It's a shame since I did a lot of research and I'm so happy with this product.
