Windows 10 updates keep turning off system restore thus deleting previous restore points!

Why is Windows 10 update wiping out my restore points? On November 21, I created two new restore points (manual). My C: system drive was turned on. My limit was set to 25% and my new 1 terabyte  WD hard drive is barely 30% used. This morning, I allowed an update that took a long time to download and install. Afterwards, my Task Manager had new entries, Cortana2. My previous days restore points had been deleted and C: system was turned off in system restore. This is the second time in a month that Windows update has screwed with my settings and system! Why isn't somebody doing something about this?

    It happened 2-3 times to me, thus I disabled Windows Update on Windows 10. I was lucky enough to purchase 4 licenses of Macrium Reflect for 4 pcs. Believe me, once you get a hold on that software you won't ever have to tremble when you pc gets weird by anything. Even if you lose your pc (stolen, broken), you can deploy the C: image to another pc easily.

    I understand that you're having issues updating your computer. One scenario why Windows Update fails is due to an incompatible driver to the latest update. Another factor is a corrupted components of the update during downloading or installation process. For me to isolate your issue properly, I would need to ask some questions to avoid giving unnecessary troubleshooting steps. Kindly answer the following:

    • Did you get a specific error code?
    • Any hardware or software changes prior to this issue?
    • What's the current build of your computer? Press Windows logo + R and then type Winver.

    You may also follow the series of troubleshooting steps on the Fix Windows Update issues **** article. This will walk you through the step by step process to help you resolve Windows Update errors and other issues.

    However, that may not be possible, so here is a COPY/PAST FROM THE .doc file that I created showing this:

    We can't install some updates because other updates are in progress. Restarting your computer may help, and we'll keep trying to update.

    Hello, thanks for this link.  I am finally back home from a trip.  I am trying to determine which link to use from the MS UPDATE CATALOG PAGE.

    It has:   DELTA UPDATES, and CUMULATIVE UPDATES.  I have a 64-Bit Operating System, x64-based processor.
