Latest Windows update makes everything HUGE

My husband's desktop (running Windows 10) downloaded and installed a major Windows update Nov. 22. After it did, his screen is huge. Icons, text, everything. I checked his resolution, icon size, text size and ease of access settings -- nothing out of place. Resolution is normal. Icon size is small. Text size is normal, all ease of access off. The screen zoom is 100%. If I system restore to before the update, it's fine. I tried to change the active hours to give myself a day to hunt down the answer today, but it updated again this morning, and the problem is back. We've restarted, powered off and did a hard restart, powered off and checked the monitor settings. It has to be a bug or a conflict with the new update, but I'm stumped. Anyone??

To everyone who haven't resolved this yet:(I am combining all the solutions into one post)

Option 1.Try Rolling back if you have an option:

See DaveM and Sumit Dhiman2 posts:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-start-win_general/screen-stretched-and-resolution-options-dont-fix/20ce6b86-69ad-42d2-83ab-847df6ab9e5e#LastReply

Option 2. Remove AMD drivers completely and Install the legacy ones from the AMD site:

    What you need to do:

    1. Uninstall everything of AMD using this: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx and reboot
    2. Reboot.
    3. Make sure your device manager shows Microsoft Basic Display adapter.
    4. Download the legacy driver from here(You might have to do a bit of exercise to locate the driver:

    http://www.support.amd.com/en-us/download

5.Run the Setup and you should be good to go.

Option 3: See if Windows itself has some history of the Older Driver:

    Solution by Ken-C here:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/windows-10-set-display-resolution-to-1920x1080/8ad4adc6-7cc1-494e-b296-e6c4dd8caefa?messageId=913d5c97-7dd7-4780-b735-1026da383882

Please note all the steps need temporarily disabling of Windows update or driver updates so that newer driver doesn't install automatically.

Pardon me, SailedBooch6838. You did say that you didn't have the ATI display adapter, but I forgot when I was posting that fix.  I hope you can get an answer for the adapter you have.  I know how wretched this unexpected problem is, especially when people are having a few days off from work and would be using their computers if MS hadn't made this forced update at just the wrong time.  Sorry for my thoughtless reply to you. Maybe you could reply to the fix Sumit posted, as when he returns to work, he may want to follow up with the customers on this thread. Best to you.

I don't have any way to roll back to the driver, especially since it just says "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter."
