Latest Windows update makes everything HUGE

My husband's desktop (running Windows 10) downloaded and installed a major Windows update Nov. 22. After it did, his screen is huge. Icons, text, everything. I checked his resolution, icon size, text size and ease of access settings -- nothing out of place. Resolution is normal. Icon size is small. Text size is normal, all ease of access off. The screen zoom is 100%. If I system restore to before the update, it's fine. I tried to change the active hours to give myself a day to hunt down the answer today, but it updated again this morning, and the problem is back. We've restarted, powered off and did a hard restart, powered off and checked the monitor settings. It has to be a bug or a conflict with the new update, but I'm stumped. Anyone??

    Thank you to all who have contributed. I followed this method, and was able to find a 2015 version of the ATI driver. It has worked at present, both to restore correct display for my Acer wide screen monitor and to put back the Sleep option, which had disappeared from the Power menu button. I guess I now need to try to prevent future updates and try turning PC off and on again.

    When you right click the Start Menu with your cursor, do you not have an option for Device Manager there, or is it non functional?

    This does look promising, but I have one BIG problem.  I can no longer get into "device manager".  After the second to last update, I can no longer use Cortana, run, search or even the whole start menu.  I can and do right click to get into other areas but....... And now I can no longer put the computer to sleep.  Really Microsoft, you so badly wanted us to update to Windows 10, but look where we are now!   Please fix!!

    Try this method.  It looks promising.

    1. Right click Start Menu
    2. Right click Device Manager
    3. Left click and Expand Display adapter

    3A. Right click on YOUR listed driver.

    1. Right Click  Update your Driver
    2. Left Click on Browse my computer for driver software
    3. Left Click on Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
    4. Brings up a list of drivers I was looking for clicked on that and it installed the driver and all is working fine now.  Courtesy of KenW_3132
