What I did was to uninstall it, reinstall it, uninstall it again and then do a disk cleanup and then manually remove the last remains of the programme directories. It hasn't reappeared since.
Your device needs the latest security updates...big time error.

Yesterday, I got the notification "Your device needs the latest security updates" and an update window that couldn't be closed, but could be minimized to the tray. It spent hours to reach 100%, so I left it running overnight. I get up this morning, it reappears, does the same thing again...but then "restoring your version of Windows" appears on the restart and now it's downloading again. Is anyone else struggling with this, because it seems seriously bugged and stuck in a viscous cycle.

2017-12-02T15:49:47+00:00 Hiding it isn't the problem...it's when it slows things down and then wants a update/restart which takes ages and now seems to be undoing itself, before try again. Three-times now and it just won't finish.
