Screen and Internet is Enlarged and Stretched Using Windows 10

Sorry ConiGL, I really have had a hard time figuring stuff out. I am not the best computer person..had to read and reread, make notes, etc., but you say you have ATI Radeon HD 4200, and I have ATI Radeon 3000. So maybe that is why? Don't know for sure.

I haven't been able to fix the problem yet.  Looks like a lot of others are finding the fixes are working but, I, on the other hand haven't had that luck :-(

So sorry no solutions are working for you. Have you reported this in Microsoft hub. Do any of the 3 drivers for your

video say they are disabled with any kind of code? It is odd that it is listed 3 times. I think maybe you should make a new post with the screenshot of device manger. Perhaps this post is getting to long and people are not looking at it .. Maybe someone will be able to help. It  is worth a shot. So sorry I could not be of help here.

Did your card come with an install disK? I just seen this post as a possible solution for you. I copied it from a search I did.

I would like to leave a comment for those of us that this DIDN’T work for and who may also have had issues with the driver info along with the card not showing up. I got my graphics card to register/show up instead of Microsoft Basic Display Adapter by right clicking Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and going to properties. Then going to update drivers>Browse my computer>DVD RW Drive(E:) and searched it b/c the CD that came with the graphics card was in there. After allowing this to happen my card showed up in place of Microsoft Basic Display Adapter I was at this for 4hrs until i figured this out, i hope this helps

if u want, next time u can double click setup.exe from the cd, much easier than browsing thru folders

• If your driver was on a cd this may work. Or download the most recent driver and try to update the Microsoft Basic Display Driver to YOUR driver. Hope something here works. Connie

It is good to hear you sorted this out. Microsoft should really step back on device driver updates. It is messing with a lot of computers and messing with peoples time and emotions trying to fix these  problems. The old setting is still in the control panel to turn off device updates but I am unsure how effective that setting is anymore .You may have already done this so forgive me if you have and we are going over old stuff here.  You can open the control panel by typing it in cortana or asking if you use her that way and then look for system. and open that, Then open system protection and open the hardware tab the second setting  device installation settings  is what you want to click on and check the no box then apply.

You can also make all your connections to the internet metered .

Just wanted to let everyone know, option 1 worked on my computer, rolled back to ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics, and restarted. I hope it stays that way. I don't want anything to update on that graphic, anyway to stop that?

Hide the update if offered using the show hide tool:

The update was so aggressive for some devices that these both didn't work. Some customers had to disable the Windows update service temporarily to prevent.
