Hi Linda,
If you're still getting a notification to install an installed update, it's possible that the installation did not complete or it got completed but Windows shows otherwise. As an initial troubleshooting step, we'd recommend that you check for available updates
for your device.
To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select
Check for updates. Once done, check if the issue persists.
Kindly update this thread with the result.
Update...I keep on getting the same results....the update never finishes the installation. This has been happening for 2 months. I even tried the Stand alone update and get an error message that this update is already installed. It shows up as installed
in my Control Panel > Programs > View Installed Updates, but not in the Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update.
This is the message I get in the Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update:
• 2018-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4088776)
Status: Awaiting restart
Your device is at risk because it's out of date and missing important security and quality updates. Let's get you back on track so Windows can run more securely. Select this button to get going:
That "button" is Restart Now.....and when I do that, my PC restarts and comes back on with the message that the updates could not finish updating. It keeps looping with the notifications, restart and failure to finish installing the update.
