All I'm receiving from Microsoft is information from other poor unfortunates who have been treated as badly as I have. There is only one real answer to this problem. Since Microsoft does nothing about this Microsoft must he abandoned. There are alternatives.

I lost everything on my laptop......

I plugged in my USB drive which had the reboot and all saved files from my laptop, It too got wiped out. Then I followed the instructions from numerous Microsoft techs and advisors which was “enter your computer in safe mode-find and install all your missing files from your hard drive”.

THAT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO AS THERE WERE NO FILES REMAINING ON MY COMPUTER”

This happened while installing the update directly from Microsoft on Microsoft website. I did not click on any links to get to the update.  I manually typed the correct web address, I manually typed my user name and password, read the need to knows & fell victim to what MS claims was not their fault but a users error.

With millions & millions of similar complaints, IDK, what do you think? No answer needed. This reply typed from my cell phone as I haven’t been able to replace my computer.
