Microsoft has been sued in multiple countries https://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-should-pay-damages-for-forced-windows-10-update-say-finns/ but will NEVER do anything voluntarily to compensate the (probable- as no information has ever been issued as to the numbers) millions of users that have lost data and income, unless forced to by country consumer watchdogs, as they just ignore individuals.

2019-12-22T22:36:37+00:00 This happened to my PC yesterday and gain today. Yesterday after an update all my personal files were removed from the desktop, all my applications were missing as well. Files could not be found by searching. I found my personal files on the C drive in this location: Users/my name. I reinstalled apps by running the application programs from the C drive.
Today my personal files were also removed, but here had been no update. The apps were untouched. I found my personal in this location: users/temp. Actually there are 3 temp folders, my files were in one of them. I don't know what's going on with windows, why is it removing all personal files from the desktop?
