I too have an Asus CM6730 that I've been asked to fix, and although Tgatlin2000's advice cleared the "Windows could not complete the installation..." error, the Fall Creator's update would not complete until I removed its wifi card, as Griffman2010 advised.

What would I do without the skilled research and generous advice of people like you on these forums?

I can't claim credit as such but found the solution on line which took forever but wanted to share on this forum in case someone like yourself happended to have the same machine ( I've dealt with 2 this month so far) and the same issue.

I have spent the last few hours trying to figure this out. None of the solutions in this thread or related threads has worked. 

I am using a Lovono Yoga laptop with Windows 10. A message popped up to ask if I wanted to restart my computer Now or Tonight, I choose Tonight so I could go and change the settings so it doesn't actually restart because I had to finish some things (that cost me just over 10K thanks to this issue, well done Microsoft for yet another piece of s**t update that takes too long to do and results in a screwed up computer you just happen to use to make a living off!). Within a few minutes of choosing the "tonight" option, the computer restarted, not giving be anywhere near enough time to stop it. 

So, here is my question to Microsoft.

1. Are you going to sort out your updates so they a. don't take hours & b. don't inconvenience your customers.?
2. How are you going to fix this particular issue for your customers, without having them to spend hours doing it themselves and possibly losing there valuable files on their computers or reinstall any software they need?
3. What are your claims procedures for when something like this happens? (i'm sure I am not the only person who has lost money because of this)

I have spent quite a lot of money on Microsoft products over the years, including a number of Xboxes, multiple computers running Windows OS's and Office software, Countless other purchases of games, add-ons etc via my account. To say I have been let down as your customer is a huge understatement.

I would like an official response from Microsoft on the above, and some sort of guarantee that these update screwups will be sorted out ASAP for ALL your customers, direct or indirect.

Im having the same issue but i don't have a mouse courser so i cant go through the shift f10 menus. Also it wont boot into automatic repair mode no matter what i do. Any ideas ?
