Sorry this does not work for me.
I have an AMD chip btw.
Just fyi, I had restored the system as I explained previously. After restoring it was working fine. I just left it off the internet/ethernet and I was just putting it on the network to copy some files, darn, one time I forgot to take it off the network after (unplug it from cable modem), and next morning it was installing the upgrade again (even though it is set to not install and was not restarted).
So now I had the problem back, so I tried your solution to start windows reinstall without remove files, then on the ready screen selected cancel. The system restarted and went into the same routine just shows the windows logo and never stops running.
So I am going back to my restore point before the update started.
Maybe something to do with AMD.
PS I see the comment from Louie about clearing an item, I may try that now I had not tried it yet as I dont have a lot of time to mess with it.
