2018-11-11T18:31:39+00:00 I just tested it on my other email page, BBC Weather page and an assortment of other pages and when I 'right click' and the click on 'read out loud', I always see a blue X and when I click on it, the 'read out loud' switches off?
I cannot remember whether I had to set this up or not, I found the solution in an MS community answer.

2018-11-12T15:09:24+00:00 9 steps to submit feedback. Unbelievable!!!! MS doesn't want feedback and won't fix problems. Cortana is awful, but read aloud is awful to the nth degree.

2018-11-12T15:25:07+00:00 I finally saw the blue X in the upper RH corner but you have to click on read aloud to make it appear; so, when the read aloud popup comes up to start with, I click on the ESC button and it disappears w/o having to go to the blue command button...MS does want feedback cause that's how they better their products but it has all of us feeling like they really don't want feedback since this has been an issue since W10 was born!! Maybe they're not smart enough to fix this w/o a major over haul--oh well...

2018-11-18T15:19:20+00:00 Just click on the blue X at the top RH side of the screen to switch off 'read aloud'
That only temporarily disables read aloud. It comes back again and again. MS needs to fix this mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
