Amazon Device randomly showing up on Network.

Original question:

I've got a random Amazon KFAUWI device showing up on my network as a device beside my driver for my router. Can anyone help? I am sure it is not a device in my house, as everything is set to something we've done or one of our names. Can anyone tell me if i'm stupid or if this is a general happening?

    Bro.....Guess what.......... this is your kids, grand-kids, foster kids, girlfriends kids or somebody's kids Amazon Fire Tablet. Unless you have a fire tablet bro if so that's okay, I understand it was on sale at Best Buy and Amazon for Christmas. KFAUWI is the processor for this tablet.

    Yes...I also suddenly appear to have an uninvited guest device listed as "douglas." When I tried to discover further information as to its nature, it listed Amazon as its manufacturer, and its "Model" as KFDOWI.  I then performed a google search on "Amazon's KFDOWI" and one of the results yielded a Geekbench profile listing the device as an Android 5.1.1 platform, which possesses a "douglas" Motherboard....Here is the link: https://browser.geekbench.com/geekbench3/8406816 

    I wish I could be of more help. Personally, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if it was simply one of a plethora of methods used by various IP facilitators to gather information on behalf of the government to build profiles on virtually everyone....And if anyone actually believes that things like that aren't happening, they need a serious reality check....... 

    Just a "heads up", I had this "Douglas" character show up and showing connected via LAN. Now I have installed CAT6 in my home and I ran the cable myself and I know exactly what PCs and Xboxes are physically connected and no Douglas is here, however, I do have a Samsung Galaxy S4 connected and it shows up on my 2.4GHz band (which is wrong, it's connected to the 5Ghz band) and when I turned off my phone's Wifi, both the Galaxy S4 (Wifi) and Douglas (LAN) disappeared. 

    Could be a coincidence or something more sinister. FYI, I am running the stock ROM, unrooted or hacked in any way, just so that this being a custom or hacked ROM riddled with malware ruled out. I'm assuming it has something to do with my 5Ghz band as my Galaxy S4 was not on the 2.4Ghz band, as my Linksys was reporting.

    It should only show up if you have an active WiFi adapter, since this is WiFi device trying to locate a WiFi network with WPS.   Since you router is not allowing it to establish a connection it will not be seen on your Ethernet network.

    Without an enabled WiFi adapter windows will not even start the WPS config service.
