Windows 10 1709 freeze randomly

Hi I have had my new pc for 5 months, I have had to replace my vista pc  of 10 years(no longer supported by MS) so to have this Problem so soon and not being able to use my pc for two days trying to find a fix, I am gutted after spending £500 on a pc relying on a the best MS operating system MS has ever developed, to find a crippling fault from a update. I have wasted so much time trying to get my pc working again for two days, from testing a 3 hour scan in case my components and drives where faulty, to only have to back date to a previous windows 10 version to get it working again, but it wants to upgrade to 1709 , I have had to google so many times to try and find fixes and how to get into the system, and found it doesn't have restore points, and the safe mode is so hard to find. Anyways these fixes that you show that could help, I shouldn't have to have to perform them. I have paid for a operating system to perform the tasks I require. Not to be adjusting manually ,just to make them work, MS should make there updates compatible to all makes and models, that's what we are paying for. As for there support help page, they are all on Christmas holiday, so there is no option to, send. Happy Christmas every body , best wishes Dave

Try this download the ISO and do an inplace install.. if that does not work do an OS refresh and just keep your data. I have had luck with that recommended from M$ tech support

Got the same issue, I've checked virtual memory (I've had that issue previously so have it custom set anyway), I have been though the power settings, I've run registery cleaners and checked of Malware. It's this build for whatever reason, gladly I can delay the update for 365 days so I'll roll it back again.

This update is also causing a lot of issues with my display adapater drivers, I've not idea if the two issues are linked but this update knocks out my  normal monitor's display driver in favour or my second screen (I've read elsewhere its because my monitor is using a DVI port and my other screen is HDMI), it also happens when I update my drivers when the update deletes my previously installed drivers my monitor goes black then never recovers. So in order to fix this I have to get my settings across to the other screen blind and then change my primary monitor or duplicate my displays and the reinstall my graphics drivers which fixes the issue. It's obviously a issue with the 1709 update over writing the display drivers or disabling the DVI port. Its because of this I know I can roll my system back because I had to do that the first time I ran the update then I researched into what was going on.

I'm really not sure what the hell Microsoft are thinking with this update but its utterly flawed and for what? Some stupid applications I'd rather not have, oh and the joy of all my custom settings (especially in regards to advertising and privacy) being reset as it always does with a major update. Honestly I've not idea why we can't actively choose which features we want running with our OS, its rediculious. All other software I use on my system I do so by choice, if I want a 3d program then I'll get one, by all means offer it as a free feature app for those interested but otherwise beyond those programs specifically required by the OS to function to relay information to the user and a browser, I'd far rather choose my own software and not have my system clogged up.

Honestly I'm really fed up with this, I had massive issues when I initially switched to windows 10 but I persited because of direct x12 however its becoming a serious grind as it feels like every other update causes a new wave of system stability issues. It's no wonder Apple is eating up market share like crazy, if your not a PC enthusiast then why stick around really?

First of all you made me change my password 3X's to log in when I used the correct PW & during this time told me that the password I was using was the same as a previous password that you wouldn't log me in with. Now that is LAME. Everybody's PC's are freezing up randomly but actually, doing so constantly after 10-15 minutes no matter what you are doing.  You cannot minimize or change windows or programs. Even Task Mgr is frozen. Task Manager when open is FROZEN. Like the Disney Movie! Can you guys READ THIS? Task Manager is open & you cannot END TASK unless you do Alt+CTRL+DEL & click on Task Manager on the Security Blue Screen to open it when it is already open! Task Manager is FROZEN, lads! WTF! REPEAT: One has to do Alt+Ctrl+Del & click on Task Mgr on the blue security window. Then everything unfreezes. This is ridiculous. Even Millenium didn't do this! Get your act together. Get Gates off of his Philantrophic Journey if necessary because this IS RADICALLY SCREWED UP. C'mon, LADS. Own up & fix it! Some of us have just a tiny shred of belief left in you guys. C'mon, buckle up Bucky & fix this ****, NOW!! Thank you. Happy New Year(as you screwed up my Christmas, lol)

Don't ask me if I've upgraded to WIN 10. Yes we have. It is Upgrade, Fall 1709 that is the culprit. FIXIT!
