Windows 10 1709 its been out almost a month now and still no fix for the freezing bug issue, lots of people are having the same issue as me and none of your suggestion work  unlike the 1703 which didn't freeze for me but sadly 1709 does but seems like Microsoft hasn't acknowledge the problem yet..   #Microsoft fix it

Could you reply with the basic steps to roll back?  Or direct me to instructions.  I started reviewing the roll back and see that it starts with preparing a bootable windows 10 startup (either flash drive or CD), then do a custom install.  How/when do you specify 1703?

    Thank you,

    Sally

This method only works if you have updated to 1709 within the past 10 days. The files that are needed to do a simple rollback are only kept on your disk for that long.

Any later than that and you will need to reinstall using bootable DVD etc.

Problem still occurs with Windows 10 Version 1709 OS Build 16299.309. I tried disabling fast startup as recommended in this discussion, and I'll see if it helps. This started happening after a MS support person did a full OS install on my machine because it was not accepting OS updates for 6 months or so with the previous version; sorry I don't recall wht that previous version was. A windows recovery image was created on a thumb drive. Because I was having this problem I decided to reinstall from the thumb drive; no change in behavior, occasional freezes still happened.

    15 days since last freeze.

Has not frozen once since disabling fast startup.
