Windows 10 1709 freeze randomly

Windows 10 1709 its been out almost a month now and still no fix for the freezing bug issue, lots of people are having the same issue as me and none of your suggestion work  unlike the 1703 which didn't freeze for me but sadly 1709 does but seems like Microsoft hasn't acknowledge the problem yet..   #Microsoft fix it

    I have the same problem windows will not stop “preparing ti configure windows Don’t turn off your computer”.

    So how do I fix this if I can’t get into windows?

    I have this issue on all my PC's and laptops since upgrade so this is a bug/messup with the update, not isolated hardware related corrupted file systems, all devices are effected. I cannot get any work done so I am VERY annoyed and will be considering Macs on next upgrade as sick of these flaky updates that are effecting my business.

    My computer went from running great under 1607 to locking constantly after a few minutes with 1709. I tried disabling "Fast Startup" but that didn't work. Fortunately, I was able to use Windows' Recover feature to roll-back to 1607. It now works great. Microsoft views Windows 10 as a "service" so that's how they justify installing updates/"upgrades" without our consent. Fortunately, there's a way to stop this. I've put the link below and I used the "Local Group Policy Editor" to easily stop these from being installed without my consent.

    I feel now that I've taken back control of my PC. I can't believe Microsoft puts out such buggy software that breaks peoples computers that they use for important work without the users' consent. I was about to buy a Mac if I couldn't get this situation under control. Now, my next issue is stopping Windows 10 from changing my default programs, especially pdf's, to Microsoft Edge, but I've found online ways to stop this, too.

    Thank You for a real answer with a real solutionn

    I will give this a try on two machines tonight.

    also i need to suspend this update on any future 

    machines until it gets fixed by MS developers

    as these are bandaids the real problem is the

    coding.

    i want to tell you what i have experienced so far

    1703 fine

    1709 fine for some days than freezes at about 1-3 times a day, mostly only 1

    1709 also killed my asus ac wireless-card, something about the broadcom chipset driver or so...

    the update to 1709 16299.98 seems to have fixed the freezes so far, a week without any, so maybe it could help others too

    edit: of course, now some hours later it froze again, i try the disabled fastboot now
