Windows 10 1709 its been out almost a month now and still no fix for the freezing bug issue, lots of people are having the same issue as me and none of your suggestion work  unlike the 1703 which didn't freeze for me but sadly 1709 does but seems like Microsoft hasn't acknowledge the problem yet..   #Microsoft fix it

I am running into the same problem

I am a part of the Computer Troubleshooter Franchise.

I am not able to roll back to 1703 at this point since we were waiting for them to fix 1709

it does not happen on all machines. but the symptoms are the same

    random lockups.

this is after checking for all driver upgrades.

This is the worst update Microsoft has ever come out with

almost as bad as Service pack 6 for NT

What can I do if I cannot  roll back to 1703

I am not even sure that a refresh will fix the problem. it will still be on 1709 will it not?

What can we all do as IT professionals to come together to get this resolved.

Microsoft is hurting our clients ability to be productive with this update. This update was forced on us and now some of us are stuck with it.

Ive done everything including turning off power management  all the recommended fixes

including turning off fast shutdown and the problems have not been resolved.

I have one client that has 8 machines updated to 1709 and only one of those machines is actually working the way it should.

So I ask once again Microsoft when are your developers going to fix the problem??

this update is broken and you need to realize that.

We did the same on some of our clients workstations and it fixed their freezing issues. It is the 1709 update. Please fix it!

Note: Not all workstations with the 1709 update installed has the freezing issue but none with the 1703 update freezes.

I went back to the previous version (1607) and now I don't have any problems.

So this is clearly a problem with the 1709 update!!!

I haven't had any update without problems.

Mostly I had troubles to install the updates (altough this should be transparent and automatic).

This time the update was installed automatically but now my Windows became completely unusable.

I can't understand that a company that big can afford making errors like that again and again...

I have waste a lot of time with all these problems.

It would be nice if in the future they made all innovations as a optional app or something instead of re-writing the entire OS. Now I have a buggy win 10 with some weird 3D paint I will never use lurking about and some changes to the worst browser I have ever dealt with.
