Windows 10 1709 its been out almost a month now and still no fix for the freezing bug issue, lots of people are having the same issue as me and none of your suggestion work  unlike the 1703 which didn't freeze for me but sadly 1709 does but seems like Microsoft hasn't acknowledge the problem yet..   #Microsoft fix it

Did you try the "fixes" at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4002019/windows-10-improve-pc-performance ?

I'm running them now, hope they will do something.

Same issue.  My machine is almost unusable.  Chrome won't work, I  even switched to Edge, but still get freezes.  Last time it froze doing "nothing" during my lunch break.

Honestly I think my system is actually more likely to crash when idle, it goes down generally if I leave it to go do something else for a while, this even further suggests its actually windows as my system is not actually doing anything but background tasks most of the time it goes down (though I'd admit browsing is the over common cause).

i had good luck so far with disableing fastboot. no freezes since then.

i doubt the virtual memory, i have mine set to 0kb, with 32gb real ram though.

and as a tip, you can disable the windows update service and then it stays of until you actively make it start up again.

I am also having the freeze issue since the upgrade to windows 10 1709. I’ve read though all the answers and I’m trying them all, hoping they will help.

Microsoft, please provide an update with a fix.
