I am letting everyone know what my last actions were to try to resolve this problem. I can't tell you if these will be a working solution for you, and I am not sure whether or not they were my solution. All I can say is that after doing these, I have not had any problems for the last 4 weeks.
I thought all my drivers were up to date, but got tired of trying to check them one at a time. So, I installed Drive Booster 5 by IObit to do a mass check of all my drivers. It found 4 of my drivers were out of date and allowed me to replace them with current versions. I also made sure to install the latest NVIDIA Graphics Driver for my system. I have had no freezes since.
Good Luck
I waited a while and decided to try this method, figuring that it was because I didn't install the latest version of my drivers (my processor is an AMD FX 6300 6-Core) and I read that Window 709 had problems with gaming using AMD processors. I updated all of my drivers and installed Windows 1709 Saturday night and it worked relatively well until tonight. I'd also like to note that I have 1709 installed on the Laptop I am using to type this right now and I've only had one instance of Freezing when I pulled out and reinserted my headphone jack.
One thing that I noticed in the last two attempts to give 1709 a go is that everytime it freezes, whether I'm playing a game or just stepping away for a second (as it was this time) upon doing a soft reset it installs another update but since it hasn't been 10 days yet I'm not willing on waiting to take the chance that the update will fix it just for it to happen again and be stuck potentially bricking my PC by having to soft reset a lot. I really hope that I am able to use 1709 at one point as overall some things did seem to run faster, but I guess I'll wait another couple of months and hope that I can successfully update without any issues one day.
