Windows 10 1709 its been out almost a month now and still no fix for the freezing bug issue, lots of people are having the same issue as me and none of your suggestion work  unlike the 1703 which didn't freeze for me but sadly 1709 does but seems like Microsoft hasn't acknowledge the problem yet..   #Microsoft fix it

UPDATE: No random freeze since 27 Feb.

That's the longest clear run since I installed 1709.

Seems like disabling Fast Startup has been very helpful.

It's been months now and Microsoft still didn't fix this issue. This is ridiculous. I've got this issue (random freezes and restarts) on my AMD from November now, only on 1709. 1703 works fine.

Microsoft, CAN. YOU. FIX. YOUR. OS. PLEASE?

Since the update released on October my PC has been almost useless! At the start, I thought it was a hardware problem, and I send my computer to repair and wasted 40€ for nothing. Then, I reinstalled everything, including the OS, I checked all the drivers, uninstalled all my games and apps, and basically did almost everything that has been said here. It took me so long to find any information about the issue, and I've finally been able to find a lot of people that have the exact same issue I have!

After all these months, is there any fix or is Microsoft just being a douche? Is there a way to uninstall this update, and just go back? This almost feels like a punch in the stomach, and all we get are copy-pastes from Microsoft.

Today I will try the fast-startup thingy, but I don't have high hopes at all.

I tried disabling fast startup and haven't had a freeze since then.  It's too soon to know if this solves the problem but I'm hoping it does.

Same here. Was having exactly the issue described with 1709 between twice a day or once in five days, no pattern. All good in three days since disabling fast startup. I have a Samsung SSD so no big loss. To those posters who put lengthy comments about "how fast startup works" and "why it shouldn't make any difference", just hush now. Its patronising and unless you are a Microsoft coder who has looked at these issues there is no real point in trying to dissuade people from trying it. If it works then it works.

No one freeze or reboot since I disabled fast start in December.
