Windows 10 1709 its been out almost a month now and still no fix for the freezing bug issue, lots of people are having the same issue as me and none of your suggestion work  unlike the 1703 which didn't freeze for me but sadly 1709 does but seems like Microsoft hasn't acknowledge the problem yet..   #Microsoft fix it

Yes I would try the disabling Fast Shutdown.

It seems to have worked for me and for some other people.

You are right that a hard reset can mess things up so you don't want to be doing it too often. Obviously you have no choice when the computer freezes. So try the disable fast shutdown method to see if that helps.

Just google "windows 10 disable fast shutdown" for tips on how if needed.

If you do need to rollback it is pretty easy to do within the first 10 days from when you updated to version 1709. Sadly you might be just out of time on that :(

Ok idk about everyone else but ever since I have had this update (which was Feb 26th), my computer has since been very slow in comparison to how it used to be when trying to run programs or just the internet in general. When I play games like Diablo 3 now my mouse will seem to lag and get really annoying as hell. Also recently my computer will randomly freeze to where it will be a still image of what I had on the screen and I won't be able to move the mouse or anything, so I will have to hard restart my computer. Scared doing this all the time is gonna mess something up.

I guess I'm gonna try to turn off the fast start up thing and see if it works. If not, can someone tell me how to "rollback"? I've heard that gets rid of it till they come up with something.

I also had problem on work PC with FX-8300. It was rebooting instead freezing. Found only "AMD Northbridge" hardware error in event log. Disabled fast startup fixed this issue.

    I have an AMD 6300.

I rolled my system back to 1703, and disabled autoupdates. It's been 3 days without a freeze, hopefully it'll be fixed now.

Feedback hub is the only way. I reported this too. Hope it'll be fixed in 1803 update
