can you confirm if you issue was resolved after disabling fast start up?
In my case, this was allready disabled.
The update is the problem.
Fix it!

Windows 10 1709 its been out almost a month now and still no fix for the freezing bug issue, lots of people are having the same issue as me and none of your suggestion work unlike the 1703 which didn't freeze for me but sadly 1709 does but seems like Microsoft hasn't acknowledge the problem yet.. #Microsoft fix it

I am running into the same problem
I am a part of the Computer Troubleshooter Franchise.
I am not able to roll back to 1703 at this point since we were waiting for them to fix 1709
it does not happen on all machines. but the symptoms are the same
random lockups.
this is after checking for all driver upgrades.
This is the worst update Microsoft has ever come out with
almost as bad as Service pack 6 for NT
What can I do if I cannot roll back to 1703
I am not even sure that a refresh will fix the problem. it will still be on 1709 will it not?
What can we all do as IT professionals to come together to get this resolved.
Microsoft is hurting our clients ability to be productive with this update. This update was forced on us and now some of us are stuck with it.
Ive done everything including turning off power management all the recommended fixes
including turning off fast shutdown and the problems have not been resolved.
I have one client that has 8 machines updated to 1709 and only one of those machines is actually working the way it should.
So I ask once again Microsoft when are your developers going to fix the problem??
this update is broken and you need to realize that.
I have this issue on all my PC's and laptops since upgrade so this is a bug/messup with the update, not isolated hardware related corrupted file systems, all devices are effected. I cannot get any work done so I am VERY annoyed and will be considering Macs on next upgrade as sick of these flaky updates that are effecting my business.
As I said on November 22, I tried disabling fast startup and haven't had a freeze since then. It has also worked for other people so I recommend you try it.
okay well i'm not sure a upgrade would work, and i dont want to do a fresh copy of windows 10 1709, i did replace the ram to see if its caused this freezing which i really doubt it is because many other are having this issue which to me points to either windows problem or driver incompatibility
