Windows 10 1709 its been out almost a month now and still no fix for the freezing bug issue, lots of people are having the same issue as me and none of your suggestion work  unlike the 1703 which didn't freeze for me but sadly 1709 does but seems like Microsoft hasn't acknowledge the problem yet..   #Microsoft fix it

I've been having the same issue (Freeze while having to do a hard reset). It's mostly been happening when I play games (either while a game is loading or seconds after it loads) but the first time it happened it was before I was able to log in. I've updated and rolled back to 1703 twice and I've had no problems with anything while running 1703. The thing I am annoyed with is once I roll back Windows tries and installs the update anyway.

I installed the gpedit.msc tool last night to try and delay this on my pc until the issue is fixed (I know it's not a hardware issue, or a driver issue as everything is updated and I've run all of the checks) but it's still trying to get the update. What I am annoyed with is Windows reminding me daily to update or restart when the update is ready. (the window with the "remind me tomorrow" message). My plan is not to install this for a least a few more months because my current motto is "if it ain't broken, use it." and it would be nice to not have to deal with that message every single day.

After disabling 'fast startup' about 1 week ago I didn't experience any more freezes.  So looks promising!

Since you're having issues using the Feedback Hub, we'd like to know if there are other Windows apps that's not working properly or if you have any other issues after rolling back to 1703.

In the meantime, we recommend that you run the System File Checker. SFC scan is done to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue.

If the issue still occur, reset your PC. Refer to this support link and expand Reset your PC to learn more on how to reset your computer.

Keep us posted if you're able to address the issue by performing SFC.
