The issue is all on microsoft side, due to an expiry date for the windows update service.
And why do we even need an expiry date on the "client" when it should be the server that should not offer NEW updates once the EOL is reached ???
This just means that
- past EOL we cannot update "easily" our PAID products still supported ( OFFICE )
- if I want to install win7 past EOL , I cannot install automatically the updates available until the EOL date.
doesn't seem to me a good practice but just another move to force us to migrate, eventually...
