++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    • the company should value its users & do not put them at a disadvantage vs. the mobile competition // after all Windows users are important for the future of this business, which is way apart from the 1 trillion valuation (I think the difference to the #1 spot is closely linked to  Windows (10) mobile) // as for the downloads you have to pay attention to the exact links // 📱

    +in these record setting times, maybe we should look back in history : Microsoft has been the most valuable company in the world in 1998, 1999, 2002 & its record capitalization is approximately 909 billion (after adjustment for inflation) from 1999. In these days the company is well over 800 billion in market cap & at #2, but the leader is consolidating its position & there is a great race for the podium. Long live Windows (10) Mobile 📱 // ++

    I found the article valuable for 2 reasons.

    First, it's only a month old which makes it reasonably recent and therefore reflective of current analysis rather than past thinking. Second, I think it clearly lays out MS reasoning for a path forward given the history and embedded base of devices running various flavors of the Windows OS.

    I think that it also clearly indicates why MS itself would have no solid business reason to give much thought, if any, to making their future development backward compatible.

    • the users can be always open for a better Windows on Mobile, but that fact does not change the verified facts, that the real Windows 10 mobile is here, it is great, productive & beautiful // in order to win commercially, a company needs alongside the competitive product, other vital strategy parts : price strategy, effective advertising strategy & solid distribution strategy.

    ++ btw. if Windows Core OS becomes one day reality, then if it is so dynamic & small could run on many Windows Phones & so why not //
