++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    • HMD Global reportedly now acquired the ownership of PureView & maybe this is a good news in the long run for Windows 10 mobile
    • maybe we will have many great OEMs powered by Windows 10 mobile ++

    HMD Global produces Android phones under the Nokia brand, and acquiring Pureview is great news for Nokia fans. Completely irrelevant for the dead Windows 10 Mobile.

    No OEM is stupid enough to design hardware for a dead OS.

    • Windows 10 mobile is one of the best mobile OS all-time & is getting better ++ if the Boring company can have success, maybe Microsoft will obtain its results in the order of merit // all PureView cameras have worked powered by Windows Mobile, so at least say thank you for the impressive, innovation-driven OS // #gratitude //

    Oops - sorry, but no. The acquisition is seen by the international business community, at best, as a possible technology to improve future Nokia android phone camera performance without any reference to Windows Mobile OS whatsoever - and, no offence, but I note the complete lack of MS tags on the go-faster picture on your post.

    all PureView cameras have worked powered by Windows Mobile, so at least say thank you for the impressive, innovation-driven OS

    Pureview was developed by Nokia for Symbian OS and debuted on the Nokia 808. I have one and it still is amazing. Now it's going back where it belongs, to a team which knows what to do with it.

    No involvement, let alone innovation whatsoever from MS in this project and it took Windows Mobile years to get to a stage where it could properly support the Pureview technology (the 950/XL devices), even the Lumia 1020 was a compromise due to the limitations of Windows Phone OS.
