++ the future of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones ++

• in the E.U. there are 20+ official languages, so it takes many years to be competitive in at least 20% of them 

++ for Windows fans it is important to have Windows 10 mobile 

++ of course the updates vary in size, that is a fact. The consistent fine-tuning process .

++ Windows 10 mobile is Windows 10 ..... but certainly it is not a uniform picture in this domain //

++ the last upgrade (the 2nd in this month) for version 1607 has made unresponsive many third party apps or even Microsoft Studio games & reinstallation has been the solution for the apps still available in the Microsoft Store. //

• multi-language is difficult sure but others manage it very effectively (or at least effectively enough)
• agree W10 on a mobile factor is important for people like us, much less so for those who use market-leading smartphones
• Again I would argue that the process we are seeing is one of constant changes to fix introduced problems rather than a consistent fine-tuning process. It feels more like a fire fighting exercise than an incremental move towards a well defined goal
• It seems much less uniform in Windows 10M than in either Apple or Samsung domains. Apple's crippling of older models for 'battery safety' is an interesting case for example: without breaking any other Apps they were able to insert their own code to artificially reduce battery life and limit processor power. MS, despite having many more releases in a period, are generally incapable of guaranteeing even their own apps working
• I skipped 1607 because it seemed more buggy than usual, 1709 seems ok

The point stands that MS need to do better in the consumer space if they want to retain mass market appeal, they rested on their dominant market position for too long and now Apple/Samsung are eating their lunch

Know what happened to my apps when i updated my Google phone to the new version of Android? Nothing. They just kept on working. No reinstalling or disappearing. Didn't lose connections with hardware. How about that?

Again, tell me why any significant number of people would want a full blown buggy version of Windows on a phone? 

Simple answer is they won't. It'll be a slow, buggy, battery draining mess. Just like any portable Surface product is right now.

The fact is that I was told by MS tech support that the last update for my Lumia 735 was the last one - that MS was no longer supporting my phone through updates regardless of broken app questions, etc. The proposed future of MS core OS development is moving away from the model in use on current Win 10 mobile devices. I don't think they're going to recode the future to fit the past.

Hence MS should allow us to Get our Mobiles replaced with Operating system from window to Android through very good chain of service centres. Cause Anyway Nokia started producing Android based devices, then they should Not abandon us with No Support etc.

Nokia didnt have anything to do with the later Microsoft phones, such as the 950 line. Microsoft bought that certain segment.
