++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    • there are sparks of development, e.g. the development of fluent design in a couple of native apps // I hope that Windows 10 mobile & its upgrades will power Microsoft's new mobile (the Lumia line is too great and performant to be left out of business) & mobile capability devices //

PS : Mercedes AMG F1 & McLaren Mercedes have represented 2 remarkable stages of Mercedes' involvement in the F1 //

Enough with the unrelated car comparisons.

What fluent apps are in development? There is no Lumia line.

You can hope all you want, but its dead. If you can't realize this, get help quickly.

    • you need some imagination to get it right with the car comparisons // maybe it is not a perfect match, but the McLaren Mercedes period can be assimilated with the Nokia Windows Phone OS years (like McLaren with Renault engines, Nokia after some struggles is back in business & has a notable role in some important markets like UK, FIN, RUS) // but Nokia has been a leading competitor with Windows Phone OS // likewise McLaren Mercedes has been competitive & won 3 times the drivers' title in F1 //
    • of course Mercedes has purchased Brawn GP (a world champion, but with declining performances at the 2nd half of the 2009 season), which also had been powered by Mercedes engines, in order to have its own F1 team // likewise Microsoft has purchased the Nokia phone business for 7+ billion & after some years of operation in 2012 Mercedes AMG F1 has found itself in flat 0 points position in the 2nd half of that season (the relief has come only on the last race of the season in Brazil with SCH's 7th place finish) // so if you have the good will you can learn from this example & can find others in other domains, but I like Formula 1 //
    • the native apps with fluent design on mobile are MS Phone, MS store & MS Groove // they are UWP apps, but active also on the little brother Windows 10 mobile //
    • the Lumia line has existed for many years & has been important for smartphone history, it is discontinued or better to say we are in a prolonged time-out in NBA terminology (but in a time-out you prepare the players, you prepare the strategy ) //
