++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    • the Kantar data is in my post from July 17 & it covers data from March 2018 via GSM arena // sometimes you can access Statista data free & in this case the data shows 0.8% market share for April 2018.

My link shows Kantar data from July 2018 which is 0.1%, so I guess that's settled then - no more illusions about market share > 1.0% when it is in fact close to zero.

    • it is quite disappointing to have this issue of plummeting market share, but at the moment even at the global market we (the users) are maintaining a solid 0.18% share & I am convinced that in the home market of Microsoft it is above 0.5%. // this reminds me the movie "Fun with Dick and Jane" (2005) with Jim Carrey & his optimism for a falling company //
    • Windows 10 mobile is extraordinary, it is a great product & for this reason is my support constant for the development of this mobile experience. Microsoft Lumia has to be the leader, which shows the way for other OEMs that it is possible & it is worth it // "Eppur si muove" in Galilei's words //

the global market we (the users) are maintaining a solid 0.18% share

Only in your mind can 0.18% represent a solid share of anything. For everyone else it is zero.

I am convinced that in the home market of Microsoft it is above 0.5%. //

We have already established that your convictions and reality have absolutely no overlap.

my support constant for the development of this mobile experience. Microsoft Lumia has to be the leader, which shows the way for other OEMs that it is possible & it is worth it.

This mobile experience is no longer developed, so there is nothing to support. You are supporting something which does not exist. Microsoft Lumia does not exist, so it cannot be a leader in anything and cannot show any way to anybody.

You should be supporting Andromeda, which may still have a slim chance of becoming a reality, instead of wasting your time and efforts on something which is dead, buried and forgotten.

    • numbers do not lie & Statista does not lie & every user is important & yes, no one is left behind // even Windows Phone 8.1 s can be used as limited smartphones // 0.18 from a 2 billion + market is important as customers or as an insider group, which tests the developed native mobile apps of Microsoft Mobile //
    • it is true that maybe Microsoft Lumia will finish the product cycle & does not rebound from its discontinuation stage, but as long as they are presented on the Microsoft official site as powerful smartphones that enable more results I have some cautious optimism //

You may also check this statistics:

    https://caniuse.com/#feat=svg-html5

Edge usage is around 1%, where I can draw  two possible conclusion:

    • Based on that Edge is mostly used on mobile: Windows mobile usage is still around 1%
    • Not assuming the Edge is mostly used on mobile: Windows falling behind altogether

The sale of Windows devices are around 0.x% because there is no device on the market!

    Dear Microsoft,

The market needs additional opponents. Two options are not enough to choose from. A don't care how you make it. Just put some devices on the market with Windows/Windows mobile/Windows android hybrid and let us select other than Droid or Ios.

    So please Microsoft:

    • Select some successfully marketed phone and make a Windows variant of them, don't waste your time, don't try to fold it :), make it efficiently. Similar but not similar to Alcatel Idol 4s. (it is a good phone, but the support, Alcatel does not even mention that phone on there site!?)
