++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    I am forced to use an Android for phone an one security application to login to work. Otherwise, I use my Windows phone on Wifi for all other applications. Compared to Android, I find Windows phone is better.

    Do not have time for all the other applications on Android.

    • if the company does not provide the handsets, then the new devices market share will be very close to the starting point (still there are the online retailers with some inventories or phones that receive another chance ++ that is the WinPhoneLand). It is better to have android-powered Microsoft phones than no phones at all, but my opinion is that the market share not will exceed by much the Windows Phone market share from 2015. The company has made great launching mistakes, because with a much better OS (WINDOWS 10 MOBILE) the market share has crashed. Better acknowledge it // Take a look at the list of smartphone manufacturers at Wikipedia for example & you will find 10s of android manufacturers // iPhone is the Ferrari of smartphones & it is not impossible to compete with them // they have great marketing // every little feature is presented at a big scale event, even if it is not something fundamentally new // marketing is the propaganda in these smartphone arenas // a great product cannot become a casualty in this arena. //

    The statics are clear about the obvious fact that android is the current dominant market player in smartphone OS end user sales with 85.9% market share.

    The statics are also clear that, in 2007, when Android launched their system, Symbian and RIM enjoyed a combined market share of more than 70%....

    Now, please answer the question:-

    Why did Android go ahead to launch their system, despite having NIL in smartphone OS market...?

    What market metrics, if not technical, do you have that makes it unviable for Microsoft to relaunch their system at a time like now when their market share is way above NIL...?

    Please exercise decorum and avoid foul language.
