++ the future of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones ++

++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

I'm in denial, faced with choosing a new phone i look at apple, Samsung, Google, Huawei and chose an eBay seller who still has a stock of new Lumia 950. At least the price is realistic these days 😁

As a person who is certain of the death of Windows phones, which phone brand would you recommend as a replacement for current Windows users....?

There are many, many different options depending on your budget and personal taste.

    • UWP (universal windows platform) & PWA (progressive web apps) are exactly reinforcements for our endangered OS. PWA are quite new solutions & they are working (e.g. twitter // news.com.au). I am not a great e-sport specialist, but occasionally play games & it was a great surprise to see that //gameloft// actually updated Asphalt8 airborne (although other games like Sniper Fury are left behind ++ it has been a great update 1.5 GB). I like the traditional Microsoft games like minesweeper & ultimate word games. It would be great if the Miami Street game would be a success. The core UWP apps cover your day (if you read the news, make some calls & emails easily can exceed 5h of usage per day). The Office apps have been designed specifically for Windows Phone and updated & now they are available for PC as well (they are more than Office Online for screens under10.1 inch / otherwise you need Office 365). Office has decades of productivity success & Windows Phone has been important in the development process of its mobile version. Windows Store maybe a fraction of other app stores, but it is a system still with 100 000s of apps and games and sure you can find something. E.g. are there QR readers (you can find them) // the maintained apps offer in general better performance and are integrated better with the OS, so there are fellows who are working there //

    • some of these manufacturers (+ Sony or Lenovo) one day can develop their Windows Phones, but Microsoft Lumia has to be an example, like Surface is for the laptops. Like I said duopolies are risky // they make some agreements and we are talking about semi-monopolies. //

Why would they develop their Windows phones when the OS is officially discontinued ?
