++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    • there are some other browsers available in the store (one is from China : MAXTHON browser, Pro browser, SURFY Browser) & maybe can be used (I have not tried them, because Edge still delivers performance in my case) ++ game developers understand that games have been looking really great on Windows Mobile & some of their top performers are powered by Windows Mobile devices ++ so if you can try to place in the top with these legacy handsets ++ sorry for the platform, the company leadership has not understood that this domain is like Formula 1 ++ you have to compete on every feature & try to be on the edge & you cannot win with magical shortcuts ++

    Here we go again - 

    The only market exceeding 1% is Vatican City which is essentially a small town surrounded by Rome; truly a mobile OS colossus!!

    On the other hand, here in the USA, I'm starting to get a website or two telling me that the Windows Edge browser on my Lumia (which has been kept updated) is an old version no longer supported by their operation.

    Oops - with all the gamemakers that are still plugging away, does that mean I don't have to worry about getting real work done?? If only to pay my cell phone bill??

    Facebook just ended support for all their apps on Windows 10 Mobile - that's Facebook, Messenger and Instagram - on June 30th and removed them from the Store. But you can still play Mahjong so who cares !

    Bill Gates regretted....but the real regrets are yet to come. HoloLens can never be a substitute for a mobile handset that can fit into your pocket which is the naturalplace to carry an essential gadget like a phone. The surrender to Google and Apple in this battle, will make choosing their products, against Microsoft's a very easy and a straight forward affair.

    • the browser & some third party apps still work for these social media platforms & I have uninstalled the apps a couple months ago (silver lining : better battery life) //
