++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    Only if the app allows it, i.e. if the developers have designed it like that. Many apps and games can only be installed to phone memory.

    What does that actually mean ? That it is virus-proof ? Nobody is disputing that - again you are shifting the discussion - no one is saying Windows 10 Mobile is bad, just that it's dead.

    their like ratio has been competitive achieving more than 38% of likes per devices used (the idle Microsoft Lumia fb page has recorded over 42 million likes per over 111 million units manufactured & this is encouraging) //

    Utter nonsense, completely meaningless statistic from a dead FB page.

    • the fb page will be gone, when will be deleted (like the YouTube channel ++ nobody stops a fb user to press again the like button & perform a comeback to neutrality ) & if the company affords to disappoint 10s of millions of fans... well that is "non-smart" or makes little sense ++ many would be happy with the vitality of Windows 10 mobile //

    Sure, I remember DOS; I remember when the first IBM-PC had what looked like a large DIN port in the back for a link to cassette tape players for people who wrote programs in BASIC and stored them on that medium. I remember hacking CONFIG.SYS files to support add-in boards and device drivers. I remember when MS and IBM worked on an operating system together which was known as OS/2. I loved it because it essentially ran WINDOWS 3.1 in a virtual machine when you needed it and when WIN 3.1 crashed, you didn't have to reboot, only had to close the VM and start again.

    I could go on with memories, but those don't change the situation we find ourselves in surrounded by crashing and/or unavailable apps and an OS headed for support termination. Just last week I had to call tech support at my bank in response to an email to confirm the future or lack thereof for mobile banking on my Lumia; no app ever again and the future of EDGE isn't all that bright.

    As you probably know, the Azure division is linked to cloud services without being dependent on the workplace - or cellphone - OS environment. Two years ago, MS reps were making presentations at industry events demonstrating cloud services and most of them were using either iOS or Android devices to show what could be done; no one was saying that the systems would run better or even at all on a WINDOWS phone.

    I'll keep my Lumia until I have to let it go, but the sound you hear is me not holding my breath.
