++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++ #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

I know Blackberry which wasn't that exciting but, Sailfish OS and Jolla, , I'm just hearing for the first time from you.. Any popular phones that run on them please....?
Feel free to Google it. An OS and or its hardware does not have to be popular in order to have die-hard fans - exactly like with Windows Mobile.
++ the recent FAQ announcement is attributable to the fact that still millions use Windows 10 mobile powered devices & the hit will be to severe to the company reputation if it abandons millions of users ++ from my point of view as a user, I shall not forget if the company abandons Windows Mobile & does not come with a better Windows Mobile alternative ++ a forgiving process in time is possible in the order of merit //
Microsoft have been very clear and very public about their plans for Mobile for almost 2 years now - if someone is finding out about it just now, it is not Microsoft's fault. The time to be angry and disappointed was years ago, now it is already a fait accompli.
Many users feel that way and Microsoft have already come with a Windows mobile alternative - providing the Microsoft experience on iOS and Android devices, thus covering 99% of the market. And this is on top of the superior hardware and rich app support offered by these platforms.

Correct, no argument there. It still failed, for a variety of reasons. It won't be the first time and it won't be the last time a good product fails in the real world - see Betamax vs VHS.

Windows Mobile is already abandoned and Microsoft's balance sheet is going from strength to strength. I cannot see a single example of anything being weakened by that.

Mobile devices were never the focus of UWP development, it was a beneficial side effect that UWP apps developed for touch screen PCs and tablets could be adapted with minimal effort for mobile devices, so the loss of that section has not had any impact on the work of any developers. I don't believe any developer was stupid enough to develop just for mobile devices.

You have to look it different: you won't select UWP if it isn't applicable for phones. So it is crucial to have phones, tablets, always connected device, on the UWP selection, even Linux and Ndroid not just Windows PC!
