++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    I opine ANDROID is still a toy, but microsux pulling a product line that integral to their desktop is sufficient reason to NOT purchase other hardware from them any time in the future. (LUMIA phones have been the only hardware I have purchased featuring microsoft/WINDOWS).

    Introducing a product..once again WITHOUT the ability to change the default browser (and not have adblock in this era) was perhaps the most arrogant--and stupid--decision concerning WINDOWS phone.

    Apple's idea of a walled garden platform is too restrictive. LINUX is too fractured. Perhaps DEBIAN (for desktop [crashbang OS successor]) and freeBSD (for server/other) will prove a solution for consistency.

    • Windows 10 Mobile June 2018 cumulative update comes with fixes & performance improvements (build 15254.489) ++ still hoping for an 18++ version  #windows10mobile // the max & complete #Windows #Phone is the #Lumia //
    • there can be innovative Surface foldable devices, which actually might help the cause, but the legendary Surface Phone is the one & only #Lumia ++ this can be a Microsoft hobby & then in time this hobby can become a success story for the 1 trillion company ++ even though Microsoft is a business & profitability is a key measure of success, it is also a representative of a value set & has to reach many fans in many ways & #Lumia is such a way & so #Lumia can have a winner way // the #Lumia name has to do with the snow, so like seasons change maybe will change also the strategic plans regarding the #Lumia line // here #Lumia fans simply are hoping the best for their phones //

    • a developer support unit may help the UWP 
    • Lumia is inspired also by the power & clearness of the snow & so the true fans are looking for a great Christmas present, like a substantial update/ upgrade (maximize hardware sustainability, cause devices have #replaceable #Batteries) & a better place in the strategy // ++ Vela, Talkman, Cityman, Saana, Saimaa, Leo, Dempsey , Makepeace can do more //

    • Lumia 950/ 950XL (phablet category), Lumia 650 (an XL variant could upgrade the Lumia 640XL), Lumia 550 are all competitive, in my point of view, in their classes so would have a future // I remember (but not surely) that the Vietnam plant has been sold for $350 million //  for cost-effectiveness are the smartphones manufactured in lower-wage locations (there are also hubs or manufacturing clusters in these regions) // it would be interesting to see the price of devices in different manufacturing scenarios on different locations (let's see how will world trade develop in the coming years) // I have liked even the Anniversary Update & would have been nice a more anniversary support-cycle for it //
