Windows 10 Mobile is dead. Whatever is being developed, if anything, is not Windows 10 Mobile. The April update is version 1803, just not for Mobile. A mis-labelled maintenance update is just that - an error, not a strategy. Insider program for Mobile was officially discontinued several months ago, so clearly there is nothing being developed if there is nothing to beta test.

Yes, maybe, if and whenever it happens. Completely irrelevant to the current discussion, as it is a new device category (you are absolutely correct), so it is not a phone and will not run Windows 10 mobile.

The OS is dead, so is the Lumia range. There is no future, neither bright nor snowy.

How do updates of apps for other platforms support your argument and not mine ?

There is no future for Windows 10 Mobile or Lumia. Even this support board is in the process of being discontinued. Please stop deluding yourself.

Add that the "Surface Phone" is official dead, and there is no more Microsoft Mobile.

MS appear to want an eco system in which windows is across a range of devices and the 'phone' aspect is just another app.so if suppliers choose to create a Mobile form factor that supports windows it will be a w10 'phone' by default

Windows 10 Mobile is dead and there isn't another version of Windows 10 that supports a mobile form factor. Unless you want to call a "pocketable" tablet with voice call support a phone - I wouldn't.
