What market metrics, if not technical, do you have that makes it unviable for Microsoft to relaunch their system at a time like now when their market share is way above NIL...?
Please exercise decorum and avoid foul language.
This is not a political discussion.
Over to you Engineer.....
I have never used foul language in this forum, I am not an Engineer either, so you clearly are confusing me with someone else.
Windows mobile market share was reported as 0.1% by IDC in May 2017 and after that point they, Gartner, Kantar and all other agencies simply stopped reporting it. I would not consider something below 0.1% as way above Nil, however you are entitled to your
view.
Did you compare the metrics of how Android developed from 2007 onwards and how Windows Phone/Mobile developed from 2011 onwards ?
Using your example, Android started from Nil and 11 years later rules the smartphone market. Windows Phone also started from Nil and 6 years later disappeared from the market. I guess that makes it a clear failure not viable for a relaunch. In my world at
least.
The fact that in 2 weeks barely 15000 people have signed the worldwide petition supporting the launch of an Andromeda device, which would be the successor of Windows 10 Mobile, doesn't bode well for the future either.
