++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++ #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

fascinating as this discussion is it doesn't seem to be going anywhere, I would like MS to get behind another attempt at mobile because I prefer it to either IOS or Android and I do think there is a (low level) backlash against the big two, but I'm not holding my breath.
On a related note though - what's the real difference between Windows 10 ad Windows 10 Mobile, is there an architectural separation or is it mostly form factor support?

I don't understand why you keep writing as if there is still a discussion whether to retire Windows 10 Mobile or not. It's already over and forgotten, it's ended - officially 9 months ago, in reality long before that. What is becoming clearer with each day is that there will not be even a successor to W10M, never mind resurrecting it back from the dead.
You can write long live Betamax with the same success.
