++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++ #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

Also interesting that Blackberry feel a new phone is worth a punt despite being on their knees a couple of years ago (albeit they've caved and gone Android)
Blackberry ended all in-house design and development of hardware 2 years ago, all that is outsourced to partners, e.g Alcatel, etc. Basically if someone wants to develop a device and have it run BES Blackberry will do the software for them.
A software science giant like Microsoft should not shun taking the future of Mobile Architecture head on. Market share, rather than, the technical veracity of the devices at play are very flimsy reasons to cite as grounds for letting the phone division go moribund. I'm yet to hear anyone point out any intrinsic malfunctions particular to Windows phones only, that would warrant their termination. The future belongs to super phones, like we've never seen, and it is a future to adore.... NOT to fear.
TLDR: I can see where the hope comes from, I just can't get behind it with any passion unless MS come up with something very different from where they are.
The only reason anyone does anything in this space is profit, if MS were to have a realistic strategy for on-going development of win10 on other architectures (which they don't appear to) and they made it easy for partners to work with them to deliver that on a given form factor (which they never have) then its entirely possible for that to take off and make money (which I would like but have no illusions it will happen).
However the argument that Win10M never had as many apps in it's store as others is losing (some) steam as people realise that a) most of the apps in the 'big stores' are crap and b) the ones that aren't crap are niche or games - which (in an increasingly hypothetical scenario) MS should be able to capitalise on.
For me this isn't some despairing hope for Win10M to make a comeback just an acknowledgement that Win10 on a portable device (which I like) would be one more choice over Apple/Google both of which I've used and not liked.
Also interesting that Blackberry feel a new phone is worth a punt despite being on their knees a couple of years ago (albeit they've caved and gone Android) so Andromeda shouldn't be too much of a jump for MS *if* they want to be in the Smartphone market and if they don't I can't see where they will remain relevant to mainstream consumers which would be a bold choice.
Not pointed at you, but no one can argue why anyone would get behind yet another mobile platform from Microsoft. No one is going to develop hardware or apps.

On a related note though - what's the real difference between Windows 10 ad Windows 10 Mobile, is there an architectural separation or is it mostly form factor support?
Architectural separation, written to work on completely different types of CPU, hence W10M development abandoned while W10 continues.
