++ the future of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones ++

++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    • in the E.U. there are 20+ official languages, so it takes many years to be competitive in at least 20% of them + I like EN (US EN more) & it is my favorite ICT language ++ maybe sometimes people lack language max grades, but the spirit of the discussion is very significant ++ in that sense here is a video with Stoichkov & this can be motivating for many managers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf6qMXi5n4I //

++ for Windows fans it is important to have Windows 10 mobile & its developments, upgrades // I still remember using 20+ kg desktop systems with Windows 3, 95, 98, 2000 //

++ of course the updates vary in size, that is a fact. The consistent fine-tuning process refers in my view more on a quarterly or even semestrial basis (so you need to summarize the updates from a larger time frame) // Certainly for version 1709 there is a new services pack or feature 2, which conceals the April 2018 upgrade for Windows 10 mobile // with this upgrade it is possible for phones running this version to have fluent design.

++ Windows 10 mobile is Windows 10 in your pocket or the Windows 10, which travels with you or the Windows 10 which never sleeps (if you ask this) // with the upgrade process the native apps probably are getting better // for third party's app functionality maybe that is not the case, but certainly it is not a uniform picture in this domain //

++ the last upgrade (the 2nd in this month) for version 1607 has made unresponsive many third party apps or even Microsoft Studio games & reinstallation has been the solution for the apps still available in the Microsoft Store. //

    • of course all Windows 10 mobile editions have gone through a consistent fine-tuning process //

I don't like to be pedantic on forums where I know that English is not everyone's first language but it's important when your meaning is unclear

    • do you mean 'constant' fine tuning, as in its always being fixed rather than 'consistent' as in the fixes applied are uniformly good (or bad)?

I agree with 'constant' but wouldn't say its a good thing when most people are looking for 'it just works' rather than 'I believe it will work sooner or later' so it's not a positive other than indicating support continues for the moment.

I disagree with 'consistent' because the updates vary a great deal in content, quality and timing.

The 1709 build (10.0.15254.527) seems to be more stable and performant but still has problems and breaks some apps until they are re-installed. People will never back the brand in large numbers until the inconsistencies are eliminated and 'Joe Public' can rely on all apps working after *every* update. When you are at the Apple level people forgive these problems but to move in that direction MS need to be better.

    • with some considerable probability, if the Lumias running version 1709 had launched today, then the company would have had a tremendous success. Still you can be impressed by the launching event :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=es4cF0B2TYU  ++

    • some encouraging history for Windows Phone : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUCFSWSFStk    // (Ballmer says Microsoft probably should have done more hardware sooner ++ July 2018 ++ Ballmer still an important shareholder) //

++ more enthusiasm has been a problem for consolidating the path of Windows Phone // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h57hUMjQd\_c //
