Also noticed an October Update (10.0.14393.2551) at my previous Lumia 535.
++ the future of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones ++
++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++ #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

2018-10-16T10:48:17+00:00 - the truth is // 93tid //, that the text quoted above has been published at October 12th, then modified at October 13th in the version celebrated by enthusiasts, then at October 15th reverted to the initial version // maybe a joke ++ not quite, because on October 10th there were no updates available for version 1607 & then after the announcement a huge update exceeding 0.5 GB has become available // so in the worst case scenario this huge update will keep the phones in top shape for some months (Lumia Denim 8.1s can still operate & support has ended in 2016) & yes, probably assistance will be retired.
++ the company has had the chance to brake the smartphone support cycle record (some smartphones could have been supported for some 6 years since their launch) & looks like cannot achieve this winners' cup //

Sorry to disappoint, but this is simply not true. Support ended on October 9th 2018 as planned. As usual, I always provide links to official sources of information, so here's the link to the official Microsoft Support page:
This is the actual text on the page, for those who may have issues accessing it:
Windows 10 Mobile, Released in August 2016 End of Servicing (published: October 12, 2018)
Applies to:
Windows 10 MobileWindows 10 Mobile, released in August 2016
Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise released in August 2016
Back to the Microsoft Lifecycle Policy home page
Microsoft ended support on October 9, 2018 for the following editions which were released in August 2016 (version 1607):
- Windows 10 Mobile
- Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise
This means that users are no longer eligible to receive new security updates, non-security updates, or free assisted support options. Customers who contact Microsoft Support will be directed to update to the latest versionof Windows 10 Mobile to remain supported.
